Porsche Selects Pasha for Baltimore ProcessingSaturday, August 5, 2006
Corte Madera, CA - The Pasha Group announced today that it has been awarded a multi-year contract to handle Porsche's imports through its new facility at the Port of Baltimore. Pasha Automotive Services designed its innovative processing facility at Baltimore's Dundalk Marine Terminal to meet the quality standards of manufacturers of luxury and high performance vehicles. The 100,000 square-foot processing center has been equipped with the latest in waterborne paint technology, finish and accessorization shops and is staffed with factory trained technicians for mechanical repairs and quality programs.
"We are very proud to be bringing Porsche to Pasha's Baltimore operation," said Barry Long, Manager of Vehicle Logistics for Porsche Cars North America, Inc. "For our fiscal year, August 2006 through July 2007, we anticipate at least 16,000 vehicles to be processed through Pasha's East Coast facility. Pasha is a top-notch processor and as a long time customer, we know we can count on them to meet Porsche's unique quality standards."
Pasha will be processing Porsche's full line of 2006 and 2007 models, which include all versions of the Boxster, Cayenne and Cayman models, as well as the 911 suite of vehicles; Carrera, Carrera S, Coupe and Cabriolet. The new Turbo, Targa, GT3 and a few very limited edition GT3/RS will round out this array of exciting products processed through this facility.
Porsche has been a Pasha customer since the mid-eighties and the company currently receives and distributes Porsche vehicles for the western U.S. through their processing facility at the Port of San Diego. The Baltimore operation has been designed to mirror the San Diego facility with an added focus on sophisticated automobiles.
"We are very pleased to be able to meet Porsche’s vehicle processing needs on both coasts," said Peter Young, President, Automotive and Logistics Division. "The Porsche brand is synonymous with excellence and performance and we appreciate our affiliation with this premier automobile manufacturer."
