American Honda Recognizes Top Suppliers for 2002

Torrance, California - American Honda Motor Co., Inc. President and CEO Koichi Amemiya today presented the company's "Premier Partner Award" to The Pasha Group of Corte Madera, California for excellence in quality, value and customer service. The Pasha Group was one of 15 award recipients selected from 42 suppliers nominated by American Honda associates nationwide.

The Premier Partner Award winners represent industries as diverse as rail transportation, security, Internet consulting and development, marketing research and management consulting. The Awards were established in 1998 to recognize suppliers who embrace American Honda's philosophy of meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

"Honda's growth and success as a global company is directly related to our core philosophy of delivering the highest possible value to our customers through quality products and customer service," said Gary Kessler, American Honda's vice president of human resources and administration.

"Today we are pleased to recognize those suppliers who share the Honda philosophy of consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations and acknowledge that their continued support has been critical to the success of American Honda."

Honda began operations in North America in 1959 with the establishment of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Honda's first overseas subsidiary. Using domestic and globally-sourced parts, Honda began assembling motorcycles in America in 1979, with U.S. automobile manufacturing starting in 1982. Honda designs, manufacturers and markets its products in North America and worldwide. Honda currently builds products in 11 manufacturing plants in North America, with three major R&D centers in the U.S.
