Pasha Acquires New Fleet of Auto Transporters

Friday, December 5, 2003

[Corte Madera]— Don McKnight, President of Pasha Distribution Services (PDS) announced the acquisition of 13 auto transport trucks, 12 open and one fully enclosed, for the distribution of vehicles throughout the Western States. This acquisition marks the return of The Pasha Group to an asset-based position. The Pasha Group formerly owned and operated a fleet of over 100 auto transporters until the late 1980’s, known to many as the "Green Machines."

"The dynamics of the vehicle transport business have been changing in recent years," said McKnight. "Reentry into an asset-based transport operation is an important strategic move, which will enhance our competitive and service-sensitive position in our marketplace."

Kim Foster, who previously managed the trucking operation for Automobile Transport Company (ATC) out of Gardena, California, has joined PDS as Director of Fleet Operations.

The auto transporters were purchased from ATC. Foster’s 20-year track record includes establishing a successful truck support system for Pasha’s rail ramp operation in Jackson, Mississippi in 1994.

Pasha Distribution Services' first revenue producing loads were delivered on September 8, 2003 for Avis Rent A Car at Los Angeles International Airport. Recently, two of the new Pasha trucks delivered alternate fuel vehicles for Nissan Motor Corporation to the Infineon Raceway in Northern California. The event, Michelin's fifth annual environmental vehicle competition, Challenge Bibendum, featured environmentally positive vehicles from the world’s major automakers.

The PDS fleet of vehicle transporters is the latest addition to Pasha's worldwide distribution network for finished and pre-owned vehicles. Pasha offers a full range of distribution vehicle distribution services, including critical tracking and reporting requirements for cost containment and inventory control.
